Instructions
- Prepare your glasses: Drizzle chocolate syrup inside two tall glasses in a decorative pattern. Swirl the syrup around or create vertical lines for an attractive presentation. Place glasses in the freezer while you prepare the mudslides.
- Add ingredients to blender: Place vanilla ice cream, coffee liqueur, Irish cream, vodka, ice cubes, and chocolate syrup into a high-powered blender.
- Blend until smooth: Start blending on low speed, then increase to high. Blend for 30-45 seconds until completely smooth and creamy with no ice chunks remaining. The mixture should be thick but pourable.
- Check consistency: If the mudslide is too thick, add a splash of milk or cream and pulse a few times. If it’s too thin, add more ice cream and blend again.
- Pour into prepared glasses: Remove glasses from freezer and carefully pour the mudslide mixture into each glass, filling almost to the top.
- Add toppings: Generously top each mudslide with whipped cream. Drizzle additional chocolate syrup over the whipped cream in a decorative pattern.
- Garnish and serve: Add chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or a sprinkle of coffee grounds if desired. Serve immediately with a straw and long spoon.
Notes
- For a thicker, milkshake-like consistency, use more ice cream and less ice
- To make ahead, blend without ice and freeze in an airtight container for up to 24 hours; re-blend before serving
- Adjust alcohol content to taste by increasing or decreasing vodka
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute liqueurs with coffee, chocolate syrup, and cream
- Use coffee ice cream instead of vanilla for an extra coffee boost
